Today Pastor Choi talks about creation vs. evolution. He shares his journey from evolution to creation that concludes that it is the Almighty God who created them all as He claims over 40 times in the Scripture. Today Pastor Choi invites the audience to walk with Jesus. A woman with hemorrhage problem touched the fringe of Jesus’ garments and was instantly healed. To her, Jesus says, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace and be healed of your affliction” (Mark 5:34). In his Good Friday message, Pastor Choi draws the comparison between two Passover stories: one in the book of Exodus and the other in the book of Matthew.

In Exodus, the Passover lamb protects the people in the house with its blood on the doorposts and the lintel.

In Matthew, Christ the Lamb of God, by shedding His blood, covers the sin of humanity and protects those who believe in Him from the eternal judgment.

Anger plays a big part in human lives. Depending on how we control and express our anger, it can affect many individuals and families either positively or negatively. In the story of Bartimaeus, the blind beggar, Pastor Choi points out three lessons for God’s people: first, know what to say in prayer. Have mercy on me, Lord. Next, learn how to say a prayer: Do it persistently until you get Jesus’ attention. Thirdly, follow Jesus. After receiving a miracle from God, follow Jesus faithfully for the rest of your life.

Today Pastor Choi designates the year 2020 to be the year of Walk with Jesus. He explains the meaning of following Jesus and urges the people of God to discover who Jesus is and what He is like through the Word of God and prayers. Throughout the year and beyond!

At Christmas eve service, Pastor Choi shares his life as a believer in Christ. Today Pastor Choi exhorts the Church the body of Christ to show their solidarity and care for the believers who are being persecuted for the faith in Jesus Christ. Sharing the story of two Indonesian believers, he urges the congregation to pray for the persecuted believers, to write them encouraging notes and cards, and support organizations such as the Voice of the Martyrs that work for the persecuted Christians all around the world.

Today Pastor Choi’s sermon (read by Sarah Choi) talks about the relationship between Jesus our Good Shepherd and us His sheep. After explaining three similarities between sheep and people, Pastor Choi expounds on Psalm 23 where King David calls the LORD his shepherd.

Anything that refreshes us without diminishing or destroying our final goal in life is a legitimate pleasure. 2. Any pleasure that jeopardizes or violates the sacred right of another person is an illicit or illegitimate pleasure. 3. Any pleasure, however good it is in itself, if it’s not kept in balance, it will distort reality or destroy appetite. 4. Pleasure must be bought at the price of pain.

Today Pastor Choi talks about four keys to good health: T.O.P.C.  Trust in the Lord, Obey God’s commands, Pray, and Clean Thinking.  When we follow these keys faithfully, we will enjoy good health in our body and soul.

In today’s sermon by guest speaker John Parker we look at the first 6 verses of Psalm 71. This is an anonymous Psalm that many think was composed by David in his later years. David is facing murder, revolt, and declining health. In this Psalm, David is asking for God to protect him just like God has done for all of David’s life. And God is also our source of strength and protection when we are older.

In today’s sermon by guest speaker John Parker, we take a close look at the story of the Good Samaritan. Some of the key questions are: Why is the attorney asking the question “What shall I do to inherit eternal life?” Who is a Samaritan and why is it important? Why did the priest and the Levite just walk on by? Who is my neighbor? When we answer these questions we see that we are called to love whomever God puts in our path regardless of what they think of us or how they treat us. To help us in our walk with Jesus we need to watch out for the lawyer, the priest, and the Levite in our own behavior.

Today Pastor Choi talks about shalom in the land. He points out that it is the believer’s duty to pray for all people, especially for those in authority. He shares three examples in the Bible: King David, King Solomon, and the King of Nineveh.

Today Pastor Choi talks about Jesus’ command on loving enemies. He points out to three reasons for obeying His command: for the credit before God, for the reward from God, and for being children of the Most High.

Today Pastor Choi talks about the fruit of the Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.

Today Pastor Choi talks about being filled with the Spirit. He explains the meaning and signs of Holy Spirit filled life and how to be filled with God’s Spirit.

Today Pastor Choi talks about the sufficiency of Jesus the Messiah for the world today. He exhorts the congregation to try God’s solution for the world in all areas: in the problems of the world, nations, society, family, and individuals.

Today Pastor Choi talks about baptism of the Holy Spirit. It means that the Spirit of God descends upon the believers and use them in a mighty way. it is demonstrated in various gifts of the Holy Spirit listed in 1 Corinthians 12:8-10. He exhorts every believer in Christ to desire it and ask God to give the Holy Spirit (Luke 11:13).

Pastor Choi talks about the work of the Holy Spirit among Christ’s believers. He does two things for Christians: one to quicken the dead spirits before their conversion, two to lead the born again believers to live a life worthy of God’s calling.

Today Pastor Choi talks about personality of the Spirit of God. Holy Spirit is not a thing but a divine being with intellect, emotion, and will. He is not our servant but we are His.

Today Pastor Choi talks about Shalom in the family. He explains how Shalom in the first family (Adam and Eve’s) was destroyed and urges the congregation to beware of the devil’s scheme. He ends the sermon with three action points: pray for salvation of the family, pray for forgiveness and repentance, and pray for peace in the house.

Today Pastor Choi exhorts the parents and grandparents to keep their children in their daily prayers for their salvation in Christ. Pointing out that the eternal inheritance is reserved for those who are worthy to receive it through their faith in Christ alone, Pastor Choi urges them to do everything to hand down their faith unto the next generation.

The scripture for this sermon comes from the Gospel of John, 20:19-31. In today’s sermon the disciples are hiding in a room three days after their Master was brutally beaten and killed.

Then, Jesus appears to the disciples and offers them peace and gives them a mission … to spread the Good News that He is alive. Yes Jesus died and paid the price for the sin of all mankind. But, just like He said He would, He is risen to live forever more. The disciples are to tell the whole world so that whoever hears the Good News, and believes in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, will be blessed with new life, power over sin through the Holy Spirit, life everlasting, and a love that is beyond description. Our mission is to do the same. Our mission is to proclaim the Good News so that others can receive, believe, and be blessed … all to the glory of God. Like Thomas, we are to exclaim “My Lord and My God”.

Today, based on John 20:1-23, Pastor Choi conveys the Easter message of the Risen Christ. They are: 1. Stop crying, for I am with you. 2. Peace be unto you. 3. Receive the Holy Spirit.

Two thousand years ago, Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey’s back. It was a fulfillment of prophecy on how the Messiah would come to His people by prophet Zachariah about 520 B.C. The same Christ still comes, as a humble King and Lord, into the believer’s heart.
