This I Pray | Philippians 1:9–11
What should we be praying for ourselves, our families, and our fellow believers?
In Philippians 1:9–11, the Apostle Paul gives us a glimpse into his prayer life and reveals what mattered most to him. Rather than praying merely for comfort, success, or favorable circumstances, Paul prays for something deeper: growing love, spiritual discernment, sincere and blameless living, and a life filled with the fruit of righteousness through Jesus Christ.
In this message, we will explore:
- What it means for love to abound more and more
- Why love must be guided by knowledge and discernment
- How believers can approve what is excellent
- What it means to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ
- How the fruit of righteousness glorifies God
May this study encourage us to pray Paul’s prayer for ourselves and for those we love, until the day we stand before Christ.
Scripture: Philippians 1:9–11 (NASB 1995)
“And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment…”
May God use this message to deepen your love for Christ and strengthen your walk with Him.
